Possibly made by a prisoner of (The Napoleonic) war, the lid decorated with an axe, arrows and quiver, foliate designs and repeating borders, the interior of the lid is decorated with a river and town scene, enclosing a fitted interior, decorated with cornucopias of flowers, foliate designs and fletched arrows, the front panel fitted with holes for spools of thread, with bone escutcheon, and a small drawer beneath, unsigned, 21.5cm x 9.5cm high x 14cm deep

Overall with signs of wear and use. Some damage and losses throughout. Some lifting in places. The two lift up doors/lids on the interior have warped slightly. No key.
